Assessment and Reporting
Chase High School is committed to the provision of a curriculum that can be accessed by all students ensuring that we track students' learning to provide the best possible outcomes.
Targets are set for each individual student as they begin their journey at our school based on the scores they achieved in their Key Stage 2 (KS2) Year 6 SATS. For 2020 and 2021, entrants' targets are set after baseline tests in Year 7.
Teachers regularly assess students' progress through Year Group testing, in-class engagement and through tasks set both in the classroom and as homework. Twice a year, teachers’ assessments will be shared with parents/carers through a report. The reports show parents/carers how their child is progressing with their learning and whether they are on track to achieve their target grades at the end of their secondary education here at Chase High School. Further information about the content of reports can be found via the below links.
Parents’ evenings are scheduled throughout the year and we hope that as many parents/carers as possible take this opportunity to hear about their child’s progress and to share achievements and struggles.
If you have any questions or concerns about progress or the reports, please contact your child’s Deputy Head of Year in the first instance.
Together we can help each student achieve their potential.
