Chase A-Level Results Day
Every student from Chase High School Sixth Form who applied for university has secured a place, thanks to top exam results.
Year 13 students today collected their A-level and BTEC results from the school, in Westcliff.
Of those who have applied for university, 72 per cent of students have been successful in securing their first choice.
Students are heading to Leicester University to study business and economics, University Campus of Football Business Wembley to study business finance management, Southend Hospital to start a pharmaceutical apprenticeship, the Metropolitan Police to start a degree apprenticeship and Paul’s Photography in Southend to start an apprenticeship.
At BTEC, the sixth form has seen a 100 per cent pass rate.
James Tape, head of sixth form, said: “I am really proud of all of our students who have received their exam results today. Their determination and resilience over the past few years should be highly commended.
“As a sixth form, we strive to ensure all of our students are given support and opportunities to enable them to leave us and undertake the career path of their choice; not only the students who go to university, but also those who explore apprenticeships and work-based training. There are so many different opportunities now available for young people when leaving school and, as a sixth form, we are in a great position to facilitate these opportunities for our students, enabling them to make these important decisions about their futures.”
Every area of the school – including the sixth form provision – was graded as Good by Ofsted inspectors last year.
